What is Poolbeg?
The Poolbeg Chimneys are two iconic structures located in Dublin, Ireland. The chimneys were built as part of the Poolbeg Generating Station, an oil-fired power plant that was completed in 1971.

The Poolbeg Lighthouse, another part of the Pigeon House Precinct, is a popular tourist attraction - I took my wife on our second date there!
The power plant closed in 2010, but has become a well-known part of Dublin's skyline and an inspiration to me!
